About the School

A school built on two living traditions

Buddha Yoga International brings together two disciplines that share a common root: the classical yoga tradition of asana and pranayama, and the Buddhist contemplative path of mindfulness and meditation. Rather than teaching yoga as fitness alone, our programs treat the body, the breath, and the mind as one continuous practice.

Students train under a structured curriculum that draws on traditional texts, supervised practice, and daily sitting meditation, preparing graduates to teach with both technical precision and genuine contemplative grounding.

Philosophy

Four pillars of practice

Every program at Buddha Yoga International is built on the same four foundations, held together in balance.

Asana

Physical postures practiced as a disciplined foundation — strength, alignment and steadiness in the body as a basis for stillness in the mind.

Dhyana · Meditation

Seated meditation in the Buddhist mindfulness tradition — cultivating concentration and insight through sustained, quiet attention.

Pranayama

Breath as the bridge between body and mind — classical breathing techniques that regulate energy and prepare the mind for meditation.

Ethics & Text Study

Study of the yamas, niyamas, and classical yoga texts alongside foundational dharma teachings — the ethical ground beneath the practice.

Our Mission

Educate. Transform. Empower.

Every student’s path here moves toward the same horizon — moksha: liberation through awareness, love and truth.

Yoga is not just an exercise — it’s a way of living with awareness, love and truth.
